Boys Soccer ready for the Central Mass tournament

The talent is here–let the games begin

The Boys Soccer team starts the Central Mass tournament against Clinton at 4 p.m. today. The game takes place at Memorial Field.

Senior Dillon Dussault has a measured view about the season. “It started out rough, but we figured things out and got our game on track. Currently, we are on a win streak which we plan to continue in the tournament.”

Senior Gavin Acocelli looks pragmatically at the win streak. “We have more chemistry, are more motivated, and finally established a working formation.” When asked to explain what a working formation is, he added, “A lineup that makes sense for each player, matching their skills and abilities to the position on the field.”

Senior Griffin Melia says, “We need to keep doing what we’re doing, have a positive mindset, and go into each game with a mentality to win and play hard.”

Senior Jacob Viele, “I feel that when we play to the best of our ability, we can go all the way, but we have to be consistent and avoid the mistakes and letups of the past.”
