Wednesday was a busy day as the Sammies and Suzies played DVC rival Nipmuc in soccer and volleyball.
The Sammies took down Nipmuc in soccer at home in a close 2-1 win, putting them at a 4-2 record for the season. Captains Reeg Kassatly and Brady Pitts were the goal scorers for Sutton.
The Suzies soccer team’s 5-game win streak came to a close as they were handed their first loss of the season 3-2 to the Warriors at Nipmuc. Courtney Clemens and Ava Magnuson scored the Suzies 2 goals on the day, but it still was not enough to prevail past the Warriors.
JV girls soccer tied 1-1 and the boys JV lost 0-1. The junior Suzies are now 2-2-2 and the junior Sammies moved to 2-4.
Varsity and JV Volleyball had a tough outing vs Nipmuc, both losing 3-0, setting Varsity’s record at 2-3 and JV’s at 2-1. There were some positives from the game as McKenzie Elliott had 6 kills and Emma Nolan had 17 assists for Sutton.
