In the upcoming and already eventful 2024 United States Presidential Election, both major party candidates have been frequently accused of being coy, vague, or even outright ignoring various issues. The recent Presidential debate has been cited by the media as physical evidence of the candidates doing exactly that. However, with extensive research, both candidates’ positions can be coherently discovered. Seeing as it’s (probably) a good idea to know a candidate’s position on the issues before you vote for them or not, I researched and compiled their positions for you.

Harris claims 1.6 million manufacturing jobs were created under the Biden Administration. Three times more auto jobs were also created per month under Biden in comparison to Trump. She says that she’ll support American semiconductor production, clean energy, and more recent industries including AI. She also proclaims support for the PRO Act and the Public Service Freedom to Negotiate Act. Trump argues that many of the problems that American workers face come from the threat of the Chinese economy, which he sees as America’s greatest competitor. That’s why Trump proposes to implement a 4-year plan to reduce the US Economy’s dependence on Chinese manufacturers. He also proposes to ban Chinese ownership of critical infrastructure within the borders of the United States.
