Some wonder why people love being scared; could it be the thrill? Maybe the burst of energy. When we go through this feeling (which can be caused by movies, ‘haunted areas,’ etc.), our brains believe that it’s a realistic situation that causes your heart to race and your adrenaline to go through your veins.
Each person is different and goes through various feelings which are broken down into three categories. There are certain types of people, when it comes to being ‘scared’, who are thrill seekers, overanxious, and competitors. Having some friends with you while being scared or going through a haunted house gives you a good laugh afterward and some fun memories.
Thrill seekers:
These people feel a certain feeling like being exhilarated or even just ‘normal’ when they go through something like a ‘haunted house.’
Overanxious:
Some people have anxiety when going through something ‘scary’ or have a panic-type personality. It’s said that doing something similar to a haunted house increases your stress, can be easier to overcome, and makes you feel better.
Competitors:
This type of person wants to overcome something and likes to challenge themselves. These people may feel accomplished and proud when finishing a haunted house.
