The news of Charlie Kirk’s passing is all over the USA, but really, who was Charlie Kirk?
Charlie Kirk was 31 years old when he was unexpectedly shot on September 10, 2025. He was born on October 14, 1993, in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He died while speaking at an event on Utah Valley University’s Campus. It attended by about 3,000 people.
He was a writer and producer for the Budgetz Podcast. In high school, he volunteered in the success of U.S Senate campaign of Illinois Republican Mark Kirk. (not related)
His goal in high school was to get students to engage in politics and get them to identify as conservatives.
His goal in life was to start his own youth organization to save Western civilization. So, at the age of 18, he co-founded the conservative student group Turning Point USA where he was active in campaigning for change in the Republican party.
Charlie Kirk was married to Erika Kirk, a former beauty pageant winner. She was crowned Miss Arizona USA in May 2021. They have two children. a daughter born in 2022, and a son born in 2024.
She was a college basketball player who is now studying for a doctorate in Biblical Studies at Liberty University. Kirk proposed to her in December, 2020, and they got married on May 8, 2021.
Kirk’s father, Robert W Kirk was an architect who lived in Illinois and his mother worked as a mental health counsellor.
Charlie Kirk was very popular across many social media platforms. He has 5.6 million followers on X, 8.7 million on Instagram, and hosted the Charlie Kirk Show podcast on TikTok with over 9 million followers.
A memorial was held Sunday, September 21 in Arizona.
