The recent Presidential debate has been cited by the media as physical evidence of the candidates doing exactly that. Vice President Harris has been critical of the Trump Administration’s trade tariffs, which he put in place to combat Chinese influence. In 2020, she marketed herself as a Free Trade Democrat during her first Presidential campaign when she was still a U.S. Senator from California.
