Marcus Rashford is a British soccer player who decided to do something for the people of his country and, more importantly, kids. He was a part of a documentary in 2020 in early December that highlighted his charitable actions.
Rashford’s career started back when he was 7 and in the Manchester United youth program. He made two appearances in UEFA championships and a World Cup experience in 2022, and he is a phenomenal athlete and great teammate.
Off the pitch, Marcus is a huge supporter of charitable donations especially for children in poverty. In 2019, Rashford worked with Selfridges and started the box campaign giving essential items to the homeless over Christmas time, and was seen personally handing out supplies as well as donating to a children’s home in his mother’s home country of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
In 2020, he helped feed over four million children and used his influence to encourage the government to assist these charities and people. And for this he received a Member of Most Excellent Order of the British Empire award.
He was also listed as top 100 most influential people in the world by Time Magazine. He is the youngest person to receive an honorary decorate from the University of Manchester. He has college education in business and technology education council.
Marcus had a similar childhood as the kids he is trying so hard to help, Born in Manchester to a working class family, he grew up with four siblings two brothers and two sisters. Marcus understands the importance of the youth and making sure they grow up to have children of their own. Without kids and future generations there is no legacy for us to pass down and no one to inherit the world when we are gone.
Marcus’s time as a soccer player and charitable activist are what set him aside from most of the world. Coming from a rough upbringing and working hard for success in life, he gave back once he got to the top. I think this is a great example of someone to look up to and be proud to have as a role model, If you can think of any other people that fit this standard in your life it might be good to take a look at how they do it. We can always be better people and the world will be a better place if we just try.
