These are my top five Christmas movies!
Buddy, a human raised as an elf in the North Pole, travels to New York to find his father. What he lacks in social cues, he makes up for in joy and holiday spirit, transforming his father from a grumpy man to a cheerful father. I love this movie because it always puts me in the holiday spirit, from the music to the costumes, this funny movie shows the joy of Christmas.
2. Home Alone
His family goes to France for a relaxing Christmas, but due to a rushed exit, Kevin gets left behind. The 8-year-old juggles being home alone and protecting his house from burglars. Home Alone is a funny movie, but it also shows that family is more important than you may realize, especially during the holiday season.
With their daughter away for Christmas, Luther and Nora Krank decide to skip Christmas. Their neighbors don’t like this idea. This movie shows the importance of family and how selfishness can ruin what should be a great time.
4. How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
Just outside of Whoville, lives the Grinch. After years of hating Christmas, he finally takes some action and creates a plan to ruin Christmas for the citizens of Whoville. I love this movie because it is funny but also wholesome. Also, the set does a good job of making it seem to take place in a different world.
5. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
Clark plans on a perfect family Christmas, But it ends up a big disaster. I like this movie because you and your whole family can laugh about it, and parts of it can be relatable to most families.
