Rainbow light during the Christmas seasons are simply better. The colors are more happy, more fun, and they are just all around way more nostalgic. When you think back to your childhood memories, I can bet you see the rainbow lights upon your trees.
Don’t get me wrong, white lights are pretty but they just don’t compare. When I see white lights I just think that you are trying to make your Christmas tree look too “perfect”. When I think of this loving, giving season, I think about family bonding and happy spirits.
I just don’t think anyone’s going to have as much fun hanging up white Christmas lights opposed to rainbow. When I see the rainbow lights, the first feeling I get is that nostalgic feeling that I said they bring. When I see them on the tree it just brings back sweet childhood memories and warm thoughts.
White lights on the other hand are said to appear more “classy” and “sophisticated”, but what does that have to do with the most happy time of the year. Not a lot if you ask me.
The Christmas season is very merry and very bright and rainbow lights are shown to match that vibe way more than white lights can.
White lights plain and someone could argue that the decorations would go better with them but I would have to argue back. Having a tree with white lights and then different decorations is off-putting–you either have to keep the tree “classy” or have it rainbow. It just doesn’t work in the middle.
Multi-colored lights also have a big part in the history of decorating for Christmas; this is because they were the first ever Christmas lights made! In 1882, Thomas Edison first strung together some colorful lights and started the tradition of Christmas lights. So, you could say that by choosing multi-colored lights, you’re keeping it old school.
If you have little siblings or young children, multi-colored lights are a better idea for you! Colored lights are better for kids because they tend to make kids more happy.
Homemade decor looks better with rainbow lights. White lights with homemade decorations would not look right.
I believe that rainbow lights are significantly better due to the colorful and fun factors they support during this beautiful time of the year!
