Video Games are like movies but you need to get a gaming PC or a gaming console to play them. Video games vary from being for kids to being made for adults only. Video games are made on game discs and online. For game discs, the disc will only work for the gaming console.
Video game PC’s and Consoles are not cheap. Consoles like the Play Station 5 cost hundreds of dollars and gaming PCs can cost up to $10,000 just for the PC itself. If you want the monitored chair and headset, it could cost $20,000 or more if you want that.
It might not work
When you buy a PC or Console you might assume it’s going to work as soon as you boot it up, but it could have gotten damaged in shipping and you might need to set it up. For PC you usually need to set it up and buy all the components yourself or go to a professional to set it up for you.
It’s not friendly at all
If you want a multiplayer game, expect to hear inappropriate language in voice chat; it doesn’t matter if it is a game rated for all ages. If it has voice chat there will be slurs said at all hours of day and night. It also usually doesn’t have a profanity filter so you either have to mute the voice chat or don’t enable it in the first place.
It does not come with games
The Play Station 5 does come with a game demo but you need to buy games or get them for free. On PC, the Steam app is free and provides a wide amount of games of various prices. It is a bigger version of the app store; it has sections that separate genres, and has games at all prices.
This does not come with any games unless you buy the package that comes with a game disc which costs extra. Xbox Game Pass gives more games for free that usually cost money like Call Of Duty, WarZone, Fallout 76, and many more.
The Nintendo Switch comes in many different versions such as the standard one, the Lite version and the Nintendo Switch 2 which is the most recent one. Nintendo created some of the most iconic and well known video game characters: Mario, Donkey Kong, etc.
While consoles and PCs cost a lot of money, video games are a great opportunity to make new friends, try new games, and even meet old friends you haven’t seen in a long time. It is also a great way to find groups with people that have the same interests as you do and like the same games. So, if you have the money, it may be a good idea to get a console or a PC and see if you like video games.
