It’s essential for our school that we utilize every space available possible. Why are we wasting perfect space for students and teachers ?
Creating a new environment for learning, collaboration, and creativity would be a way to grow as a school. It doesn’t require building or any heavy changes; all that is required is creating a safe environment. The room is already here but the only thing it’s doing is collecting dust.

Repurposing the unused classrooms allows administrators and faculty the opportunity to reimagine and create their school in a unique way where students feel excited to learn.
By repurposing these rooms, students can have more opportunities to explore their interests and engage with different experiences than they would in a normal classroom. They are exposed to new experiences that can help them beyond the classroom.
There are many ways a room can be repurposed; it can be a study room, a coffee room, a meeting room, I mean there’s endless possibilities for this room yet it’s not being used properly. The room doesn’t have to be stuck to one specific use, it can be a room where students can go in and study but also teachers can come in and make their coffee.
With the possibility of teachers being gone, there will be even more classes available and empty. What are we going to do with those rooms?
According to SchoolFurniture, giving students the chance to share their vision of how the space can be used allows them to take ownership of their learning experiences.
Repurposing our space for practical purposes that align with the needs of our school and our students would give students ownership of space in the school.
There have been many instances where multiple teachers are out and we utilize the library for the students but it can be distracting to have a bunch of students in one area where it’s supposed to be quiet. This is where an empty classroom can be put into place.
It can also be a useful way to save money. If we maximize the use of available resources, it can save our school a lot of money. We can make the most of what we have and create a unique and helpful area for students and teachers.
These classrooms are being used for storage instead of them being put into something useful for our school. They are not being used to their full potential and it is truly sad to see. There are endless opportunities for these empty classrooms and it is being taken for granted!
So, let’s find a way to take an empty classroom and make it functional for the entire student population.
