As the spring and summer months roll around, ice cream shops begin to open back up for the season. This is a great job for those who don’t want to work the whole year but can make some tips.
A large factor that influences the growth and popularity of ice cream are the endless flavor options where everyone can find something they may like.
When you walk up to the window to order after waiting in a busy summer time line, the flavor options can be overwhelming, but there is no wrong choice. With a flavor for every type of mood, you can’t go wrong with your favorites.

West End Creamery in Whitinsville, MA, is home to 60+ flavors of ice cream as well as other items such as Dole Whip. With the countless toppings and flavor options, this is a perfect spot to hang with friends and enjoy the warm weather.
One of my favorite orders from West End Creamery is Green Monster with rainbow sprinkles in a waffle cone.
Another location is The Ice Cream Lady in Douglas, MA. This location includes a life-size ice cream lady state right in front of the parking lot. Something special about this place is the wide variety of soft-serve ice cream flavors. My favorite order from here is the cake batter ice cream with hot fudge in a cup.
Even though the weather is still cold and windy in late March, why do we still find ourselves going to our favorite ice cream places without the warm sun? Aurora Foods connects this theory to the feeling of familiarity. Another good reason is the temperature is perfect for the ice cream to stay solid.

Personally, I think we miss the nostalgic feeling of summer and want to bring our lives back to that peaceful and enjoyable season in the midst of cold weather. We often yearn for summer, and ice cream creates some normalcy for folks in New England.
Some other intriguing facts supported by Fentons Creamery is that Sunday is the day with the most ice cream sold and this connects to the creation of the sundae.
Summer weekends are closer than we think so many ice cream shops will flourish during this time of happiness. The variety of ice cream is a key factor in the amount of customers as well.
Recently, I have been looking for a good banana split to try because I haven’t had one. I believe that this is a classic and I am hoping to try one.
