What do you wear on your feet in the winter? The temperatures are dropping and everything is getting colder–it’s time to step out of the sandals!
Some of my favorite winter shoes include Uggs, Uggs are made mostly from sheepskin which allows the shoe to be rougher on the outside and very warm and fuzzy on the inside. These shoes aren’t just comfortable for the weather, they are also stylish and cute for any and all outfits!
There are so many kinds to choose from for women and men, but although these shoes are very cozy, warm, and stylish for winter, they are not the best when it comes to wet environments or snowy conditions. This is because of the soft material used on the exterior and interior of the shoe.
If you are in the snow or slush often, then you might want something that’s a little harder like winter boots! For winter boots, I suggest the SOREL Caribou winter boots. I suggest these because they are water resistant, exceptional in deep and wet snow, and are stylish too!
These boots can be found in the women’s section and the men’s section. They are made from water-proof material (suede and ballistic nylon upper) and provides traction in slippery conditions. While these boots have many perks, they are a tad expensive being $225. Are there some cheaper options that work just as good?
Well, yes there are! Merrell sells sporty and water-proof shoes and boots that retail for $150 (one color on sale for $105), and as this might still seem expensive, they have so many perks! The Merrell Thermo Chill 2 Mid Waterproof shoe isn’t heavy like the SOREL boots would be, and they have a more sneaker like look to keep the winter outfits more athletic!
These boots are specifically made for hiking and have grip to hard icy and snowy surfaces. Â The design is waterproof and fitted with advanced insulation for serious warmth. These shoes are built for the adventurers.
One final boot that I love for the winter season are Hunter boots. These boots are cute, good for the winter season, and come in many colors and patterns. They are waterproof and light-weight, so they can be used to play in the snow or walk in the snow for a long time. The Hunter boots also have taller or shorter boot options so you can find the perfect fit!
